Lange Estate Winery & Vineyards is ecstatic to hear about one of our favorite blends receiving Wine & Spirit's Award for "Year's Best U.S. Pinot Noir."

What makes the Year's Best U.S. Pinot Noir? We like to think that what ends in your glass begins in the vineyard. For our Three Hills Cuvée Pinot Noir, Lange Estate sources from our own hillside estate along with exquisite fruit from renowned vineyards Freedom Hill and Yamhill Vineyards.

Each site is a distinctive expression of its relative Terroir with differing soil types, elevations, and clonal selections. In combination, these vineyards lend specific and unique characteristics to a masterfully integrated blend crafted by winemakers Don and Jesse Lange.

The 2014 Three Hills Cuvée Pinot noir has a deep garnet hue, with an enticing nose of pink peppercorns, allspice, dried rose petals, juicy Oregon strawberries with hints of lavender and nutmeg. The palate shows black raspberries and cherry cola flavors, accented by notes of clove, vanilla, well-integrated barrel spice, and is superbly balanced by fresh acidity and silky tannins. This wine is a classic "drink-now-or-hold-for-a-decade" Pinot noir.
