Our 76 Dijon clone Chardonnay block at Freedom Hill was planted in 1998. Along with the Dusschee family at Freedom Hill, our family has always loved this classic and noble varietal. Fermented in one three-year-old French oak puncheon, we strive to craft a wine that is not only supported by oak, but is respectful of the fruit.
The 2017 Freedom Hill Vineyard Chardonnay features a complex bouquet, suggesting macadamia nuts, ginger, and vanilla followed by kiwi fruit and toast on the palate, finishing with supple bright essences of lemons and cream.
