For the fifth year in a row, nature cooperated with winegrowers in the Willamette Valley. With an abundance of sun throughout the spring and summer, vines were thankful for showers and a few weeks of cool nights and warm days in mid-September. Despite warmer weather and longer hang times, grapes retained high levels of acidity along with complex flavors, leaving harmonious and balanced fruit.

Such attractive aromas of spiced bread and blueberries, blackberries and violets with a stony, minerally edge, as well as dried herbs and forest wood. The palate is very rich and packed with darker plums and cherries, as well as blackberries, some cocoa, and a long, seamless run of fine yet dense tannin. This hits luxurious notes on the palate.
