Our Pinot Noir Classique is an assemblage of all our North Willamette Valley vineyard sites and is a fine example of expert blending by out winemaking team, embodying our true "Classique" style and spirit. Aged in 15% new French oak, grapes designated for this blend were hand-harvested and fermented separately by vineyard and block, allowing the Lange's to create this precise and tightly-focused signature wine that consistently over-delivers for the price.
Fresh and approachable upon release, the 2018 Pinot Noir Classique opens with a complex, deeply perfumed nose of black cherry and raspberry followed by black tea, pamplemousse, sweet cedar, and violets. Silky and expansive on the palate, it's a precisely balanced wine, with pitch-perfect acidity adding lift to a red and blue-fruited core that's framed in fine-grained tannins, Tahitian vanilla, baking spice, and smokey minerality emerging at the close.
