Our clonal series wines were created by Jesse Lange to allow our club members to experience Oregon pinot noir through the winemaker's lens. This fascinating series highlights the differences between clones 115, 777, and Wädenswil. Crafted entirely from fruit grown on our Estate, the wines in this series can be opened together for a side-by-side comparison, or savored individually.

2019 Clonal Series 115 Pinot Noir

True to form, clone 115 is fresh, poised, and nimble. It's a delicate expression of pinot noir, with deeply perfumed aromas of climbing rose, forest floor, and Orange Pekoe encircling strawberry and raspberry notes. Ultra-fine elegant tannins lend to the perception of silkiness, with rhubarb, pie cherry, and savory notes underpinning the lengthy finish. 

2019 Clonal Series 777 Pinot Noir

A step darker than 115, clone 777 offers a riotous, deeply aromatic nose of rhubarb, black cherry, pomegranate, guava, wood spice, and earth. In the mouth, there's an undercurrent of savoriness and juicy red fruit that weaves in and out of suave tannins, lending balance and depth to this rich Dijon clone. 

2019 Clonal Series Wädenswil Pinot Noir

A clone of Swiss origin, Wädenswil has more weight across the palate than either 115 or 777. Thick skins lend texture and structure, with more concentration up front. As it opens, rhubarb compote, black raspberry, and black cherry notes sit beneath a garland of lilac and thyme flowers. Brisk acidity ebbs and flows against a backdrop of fine-grained tannins.
