Our Reserve series wines have a higher percentage of fruit from our premier vineyard sites and partners. Our Pinot Gris Reserve is sourced from northern Willamette Valley vineyards, including Yamhill, Tukwilla, and our own Lange Estate vineyards. By blending fruit from multiple sites and from different aging vessels (stainless steel, concrete, and French oak puncheons), father and son duo Don and Jesse Lange, have translated the vintage into a single cuvée while showcasing all the versatility and range pinot gris is capable of expressing. The result is a wine with impeccable balance, richness, and textural elegance.
92 Points — International Wine Report Aged in neutral French oak puncheons, stainless steel, and concrete to give this Pinot Gris some added strength and body, it’s a beautiful specimen on the nose with lovely aromas of freshly cut pear, dried sage, autumn leaves, and citrusy herbs. Round and plush in the mouth but still showing excellent acidity, it dances across the tongue and finishes dry and long. 2022-2028
91 Points 'Editors’ Choice' — Wine Enthusiast Fruit for this wine comes from some of the oldest vines at Yamhill Vineyard, planted in 1983. Fermented in 80% 500-liter neutral French oak with the rest in concrete cube, the aromas offer notes of melon, hazelnut, and pear, with whiffs of banana chip as it settles into the bottle. The flavors show depth, intensity, and layering. A vibrant vein of acidity runs through it, adding tension to the flavors. It's both hedonistically and intellectually enthralling.
