3 Liter - 2016 Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir

Lange Estate Winery has been sourcing fruit from the Freedom Hill Vineyard since 1990 and began making its namesake single-vineyard Pinot Noir in 1996. The warm days and cool nights at this special site allow for complete fruit ripening while maintaining essential acid balance. The result is a structured and age-worthy wine.
An unusually warm spring gave way to moderate summer conditions, wich provided balanced growing conditions through veraison. Though it was an intense growing season, there were fewer heat spikes than either 2014 or 2015, leading to smaller berry size and higher concentration of flavors, depth and intensity. A plush and silky palate shows rich darker cherries that seamlessly play into integrated oak influences.
