2018 PINOT GRIS RESERVE
With bright acidity and fresh flavors of peach, papaya, and apricot, our Pinot Gris Reserve offers a richness rarely found in this varietal. Its silky yet firm and focused mid-palate give way to a perfect sip with harmonize notes of nectarine, honeysuckle, and a hint of lemon zest.
"The reserve is more serious than the Classiqué, with less front-loaded fruit and more details of citrus and mineral. Fermented in neutral puncheons and partially aged in concrete egg, it's juicy and tart, with more apple rind than flesh as the principal fruit." -Paul Gregutt, reviewer
WASHINGTON WINE BLOG
"Pear and baked apple with light nutmeg elements fill the nose. The palate has a great combination of bright acidity and juicy orchard fruits that mingle with the lovely earthy undertones. This is a spectacular effort by the talented Jesse Lange. Drink 2019-2025." - Dr. Owen Bargreen, reviewer
2017 PINOT NOIR RESERVE
Our Reserve Pinot Noir is a cuvée that represents the finest barrels in our cellar without any self-imposed rules like site, clone, rootstock, or soil type. Attractive out of the gate, with enough structure develop for another five years—drink it as a weeknight libation, or share it with family and friends.
With a relatively warm 2017 vintage, we are able to deliver fruit with a great balance of sugar and acid, with lower alcohol levels and abundant tannins. The 2017 Reserve Pinot Noir expresses notes redolent of black cherries, marionberries, cinnamon, clove and saddle leather in the bouquet. Juicy tannins frame hints of wood smoke, rosemary, and Oregon strawberries followed by a long, resonant finish.
An attractive array of ripe dark cherries with very attractive, foresty complexity that leads to a palate with a smooth core of dark cherries and plums with plenty of flesh, wrapped around reliably long tannins. Drink now. -Nick Stock
Vibrant and expressive, with cherry, orange peel and rose petal notes that build structure toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2025. - TF
