This vintage showcases a bouquet of brambly earth and pomegranates followed by candied cherry and blueberries on the palate.

Dark crimson. Aromas of ripe dark berries, cherry cola, mocha and licorice are sharpened by building spice and smoky mineral notes. Shows good heft as well as energy on the palate, offering oak-spiced bitter cherry, mulberry and fruitcake flavors that slowly tighten up through the back half. Finishes long and smoky, with dusty tannins lending framework and final grip. This fruit is sourced from the Freedom Hill vineyard; one-third new French oak.
