The pinot noir fruit for our Three Hills Cuvée series emanates from our best, most established vineyards, including Lange Estate Vineyard (in the Dundee Hills), Freedom Hill Vineyard, and Yamhill Vineyards. Hence the “Three Hills Cuvée” moniker. Over the years we’ve added a few other stellar vineyard sites to the mix as well.
We expect these wines to be comparable to the best examples of their type from anywhere in the world. As winemakers we marvel at the complex synergy that comes from blending wine from Willamette Valley’s marquee vineyards.

“A beautifully textured Pinot Noir, the Three Hills Cuvée is sourced from a selection of steep-sloping vineyards in the northern Willamette Valley. This wine offers a freshness balanced wonderfully with a core of dark fruit, savoury umami and spice. Pungent floral and earth-driven aromas leap at you from the glass. There is ripe blue and black fruit, spiced plums, smoked sea salt and a delicious complement of black tea leaves. A smoky clove and flinty minerality carry the lengthy finish. Gorgeous wine. "My favorite from the line up, this one the 2022 Three Hills Cuvee Pinot Noir from Lange.
Showcasing a gorgeous medium neon ruby core with a light pink rim, it offers up boisterous notes of crushed Bing cherries, red currants, sweet cinnamon, and walnut shell aromas and flavors. Tannins are sweet and rounded, and with the lemony acidity, it finishes strong with a lovely lemon-herbal character that sits perfectly on the back palate. 450 cases made." — Jeremy Young

“Bottled under screwcap, the ruby/magenta-colored 2022 Pinot Noir Three Hills Cuvee is expressive on opening, with notes of mixed berries, preserved flowers, and forest herbs. It has good energy, with ripe, energetic acidity, fine tannins, and a clean finish with a good length.”—Audrey Frick

“A perfumed blend of crushed raspberries and autumnal spices wafts up from the 2022 Pinot Noir Three Hills Cuvée. This is silky-smooth with a pretty inner sweetness and juicy acidity that propels its tart wild berry fruits. It tapers off gently tannic and with admirable length, leaving a tinge of red plum to linger.”—Eric Guido. Drinking Window 2024-2029

“This wine is a blend of fruit from the winery's Dundee Hills Estates, Freedom Hill, and its three Yamhill- Carlton sites. Aged 11 months in French oak (about 40% new), the aromas are brooding, offering notes of clove, dark cherry, iron, black tea leaf, coffee, and spice. Full-feeling flavors follow, showing pleasing depth, texture, and richness. Behind that, there's a verve of liveliness. A lengthy finish caps it off. It requires patience and additional time in the cellar to fully strut its stuff but will be more than worth the wait. Best after 2027. 13.5% alcohol. Screwcap. 425 cases produced.” — Sean Sullivan

"The outstanding 2022 Lange ‘Three Hills Cuvee’ Pinot Noir offers teaberry and shades of black truffle on the nose alongside kumquat zest. The palate is dense and rich with a great sense of freshness and good length. Beautiful now, enjoy over the next eight plus years to come. Drink 2024-2032"
