Our Reserve series wines have a higher percentage of fruit from our premier vineyard sites and partners. Our Pinot Gris Reserve is sourced from northern Willamette Valley vineyards, including Yamhill, Tukwilla, and our own Lange Estate vineyards. By blending fruit from multiple sites and from different aging vessels (stainless steel, concrete, and French oak puncheons), father and son duo Don and Jesse Lange, have translated the vintage into a single cuvée while showcasing all the versatility and range pinot gris is capable of expressing. The result is a wine with impeccable balance, richness, and textural elegance.
This vintage of Pinot Gris Reserve is lush and complex. It blooms with petrichor, melon, lemon, and a touch of stonefruit. The palate is impeccably balanced and rounded, with notes of honeysuckle, grapefruit zest, light peony florals, and an essence of passionfruit. The lively acidity carries through for a refreshing finish.

“A youthful, pale, green-tinged yellow, the 2023 Pinot Gris Reserve was brought up in 90% neutral French oak puncheons and 10% concrete. The nose notches thing up another gear with notes of white peach, delicate light flint, candied lime, and fresh flowers. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied but has a wonderful, rounded, linear feel with a good deal of fresh extract. This is a fantastic wine from the Lange family to drink over the next 6-8 years.”—Audrey Frick
